APKLint is a free toolkit for Android developers: decompile and analyze APK and AAB files, audit your AndroidManifest, run security and malware checks, lint your code, and prepare a clean submission for Google Play — all without a single sign-up.

Why we built it

Most app-analysis tools are either paid, buried in a heavyweight IDE, or hidden behind a login. We wanted a fast, honest, privacy-first place to check an app from your browser and get a straight answer, with no login and no on-page ad banners. Reference checklists run entirely in your browser. The interactive checks are processed by our backend; any file you upload, and its result, are deleted by a scheduled hourly cleanup after analysis finishes, and pasted text or queries are processed in the request and never written to storage.

Who makes it

Uddhav Gopani founded APKLint and edits everything on it. He designs the tools, writes the guides, and checks every claim against current Android and Google Play documentation before it ships; when requirements change, the affected pages are re-reviewed and re-dated. His standing rule: a tool that cannot show its evidence should not make the claim.
